Two of the legal manual briefly addresses employment issues,
providing an overview of collective bargaining, wage and hour laws,
conflicts of interest, gifts of public funds, and benefits. [See
Chapter 2, Section G-K].
This topic gives more comprehensive and in-depth coverage of employment
law as it applies to public hospital districts. Although it should
not be considered an exhaustive coverage of public employment law,
it can serve as a useful starting point for PHDs.
